Advanced Blackjack Strategy 4: sum 12 vs face-up 6!

Now let’s look at the controversial part of the fourth strategy. It’s between the sum points of 12 in our hand and the face-up 6 points in the house’s hand. Here is where the players usually get it wrong.

First of all, let me ask you this, which side of the advantage was among the top two scenarios?

The answer is the player’s side. I know a lot of you may think it’s the opposite since 12 points is an awkward situation that the player wasn’t sure if they want to hit or not.

Now, we all know that the house may only stand while they hit above 17 points, but we as players get to choose to hit or stand, so it’s already in our favor.

What’s more, think if you are the house and you get 6 points only. If you hit a face card, then you are 16, which is required to hit according to the rules. Since it’s easier for 16 to go bust than 12, then point 12 must be in favor.

So whenever you are at the table and you get 12 points, always stand. Let the house go bust but not you.

Advanced Blackjack Strategy 5: Splitting the face card pairs.

Here comes another common misunderstanding: should we split the face card pairs? There might be tons of different aspects and analyses from all the players who played blackjack. Though according to the pros, we maintain. Never split a pair with face cards.

It’s simple. This game requires us to get as close to point 21 as possible. Since the point of two face cards is 20.

Some may say: hell no, my hand is strong enough. Though we have to take the strength of the house’s hand into consideration as well.

In theory, we do prefer to stand when we hit 17, though if the face-up card of the house indicates that there’s a high chance we are behind, then we need to take our chances.

So the last strategy wasn’t about forbidding you to hit while you got 17, it suggest that we take actions according to different scenarios.
