Texas Hold'em Short Deck Poker has a simple and straightforward rule for odds, which is "multiply by 6 on the flop and by 3 on the turn." This means that for drawing on the flop, you can multiply by 6 to represent the chance of hitting on the river, while for drawing on the turn, you should multiply by 3 to see the chance of hitting.
Let's look at an example:
Hand: KsQs, 3-bet to 15 big blinds before the flop, heads-up to the flop which comes As 7s Qd
So here, a simple look tells us that we currently have a pair with a flush draw and a backdoor straight draw. The probability of hitting a flush by the river is 5*6=30, which means we have approximately a 30% chance of hitting the flush.
Turn: Jh. At this point, if we're drawing to a flush or straight, the probability of hitting the flush is 53=15, and the probability of hitting the straight (excluding the straight flush combinations) with three outs is 33=9. Together, that's 24%. It seems like a strong draw, but the hit rate is less than 1/4, so the pot odds need to be at least 4 times the amount we need to call to make the call profitable.
Poker Short Deck Strategy Variation Changes
Texas Hold'em Poker Short Deck strategy doesn't emphasize pre-flop hand strength as much as traditional Texas Hold'em, because with fewer scattered cards, the possibility of hitting two pairs on the flop increases. So, our big pairs like QQ+ might become passive on the flop.

There are two poker short deck strategy to consider. One is to expand our pre-flop raising range in early position to include all Ace combinations and all pairs, to make opponents less certain about our hand strength.
Another poker short deck strategy is to increase the range and frequency of limping in early position to control the pot, and when facing a raise in later positions, to then execute a 3-bet or 4-bet, depending on our chip stack depth.
