How Big Bash League evolved over the Years?
The Big Bash League (BBL), an Australian Twenty cricket competition, took the role of the Twenty20 Big Bash, which debuted in 2005–06. However, when the Sydney Sixers won the first season, the BBL emerged as the premier league in 2011–12.
The BBL, like the other domestic T20 leagues, has given young players a chance to show off their skills and go one step towards earning a spot in the national team. Before the BBL 12, Cricket Australia developed a few new regulations, although the overall structure of play will not change.
Teams Participating in the Big Bash League
In the Latest BBL Winner List, Perth Scorchers have won the championship the most times in the league's history—five times. The other successful team in this competition is Sydney Sixers who is just behind the Scorchers with 3 championships.
Cricket Australia has divided this competition among 8 teams who compete for the top position in the league phase to advance to the elimination stages in this league. The names of the teams are Perth Scorchers, Adelaide Strikers, Sydney Sixers, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Brisbane Heat, Melbourne Stars, and Sydney Thunder.
Six different teams have won the championship throughout the years; on the other hand, the Melbourne Stars and Hobart Hurricanes are the only two that haven't yet taken home the BBL trophy.
