Pakistan Management Making Changes in the Asia Cup Squad

After whitewashing the Afghanistan team in the ODI series, Pakistan management decided to make a few changes to their ODI squad announced for the Asia Cup.

Saud Shakeel who was not a part of the Pakistan Squad for the Asia Cup, has been called up in place of Tayyib Tahir who is still with the squad as a travelling reserve.

This decision was taken after the third ODI between Pakistan and Afghanistan in which Saud Shakeel was part of the team.

Pakistan Team Whitewashed Afghanistan Team in ODI Series

From the latest Pakistan Cricket News, After a very close and crunch encounter with Afghanistan in the 2nd ODI, the Pakistan team beat Afghanistan in the 3rd ODI by 59 runs to clinch the series.

Pakistan Skipper won the toss and elected to Bat first.

However, both the openers failed this time and departed after scoring a few runs.

Then, captain Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan slowly and steadily built the partnership and later on the lower order of the Pakistan team smashed the Afghani bowlers.

Pakistan put a decent total of 268 on the board and in reply Afghanistan team was under pressure from the start losing quick wickets and pushing them on the back foot.

As the innings progressed, Wicket kept tumbling and Mujeeb Ur Rehman played a brilliant innings at the back end of the Afghanistan Innings.

However, the whole Afghanistan cricket team was bundled out for 209 in the 49th over.

A brilliant piece of Bowling from Shadab Khan and Rana Faheem sealed the deal for Pakistan.

With a recent series win against Afghanistan, Pakistan jumped up to the Number 1 position in the ICC ODI rankings.

Pakistan Cricket Board invited the senior board members of all the teams participating in the Asia Cup to attend the matches.

Besides this, an honorary dinner is also planned in the Governor's House, Lahore for these respected board members.

The BCCI President and Chairman will visit Lahore for two days and they will enter Pakistan through the Wagah Border where security arrangements are under preparation.

Birmingham, England. In this event, the Pakistan team has already beaten England, Australia, and Bangladesh to reach the Finals.

In the Final, the Indian Blind Team batted first and posted a total of 185 on board. In reply, Pakistan's openers made a flying start by crossing the 50-run partnership in a mere 4.3 overs.

Due to differences in the administration, former chairman Zaka Ashraf is appointed the new chairman.

Now, the reports are coming that Zaka Ashraf will soon be terminated and again Najam Sethi will be appointed the chairman. That is all going on in Pakistan Cricket’s top management.

PCB announced Ticket Prices for the South Africa Women's Series

The South African Board recently announced their full-strength women's team for their tour to Pakistan.

After the schedule announced by PCB, all the matches will be played in Karachi starting from the first T20 on September 1, 2023.

The series comprises 3 T20 Internationals and 3 One Day international matches.

The price of tickets for VIP enclosures is kept at PKR 100 for the first two ODIs and T20s.

However, the price of a single ticket is PKR 150 for the 3rd ODI and T20 match. One can buy the tickets online from the booking website from 12:00 AM PST onwards.

For physical ticket purchases, one can buy them on match days from the box offices outside the National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi.
