Virat Kohli is undoubtedly the greatest cricketer of All Time and his records and achievements speak for his greatness in cricket. Born in Delhi, the 35-year-old cricketer stepped into IPL cricket for the first time when Royal Challengers Bangalore picked him up in the IPL auction in 2008.
In the first few seasons, his performances were satisfactory as he was in his teens. But soon, he announced to the world his entrance to IPL cricket with brilliant batting in the 2011 edition of the IPL. Since then, he kept on scoring tons of runs and played some of the greatest innings in IP cricket.
Last year in IPL 2023, he came back strongly from his poor form and smashed 6 fifties and 2 centuries with a total score of 643. He was the IPL Highest Score Batsman 2023 for most part of the competition.
Unfortunately, his team could not qualify for the playoffs. Virat has captained the RCB for 9 years and could not win a trophy for the passionate fans of Bangalore. However, he showed his commitment to the team and never left this franchise for money or fame.
During his tenure as a captain, he led the team in 140 matches, securing 66 victories while facing 70 defeats.
Known as the "Run Machine," Kohli affirmed his unwavering commitment to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) franchise when he left the captaincy in 2021 and confirmed that he will remain a player for the team. Fans can expect to see him continue to represent RCB on the field.
