The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League is finally over after entertaining the cricket fans all around the world for 2 complete months. Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals in the final to become the champions of IPL 2022. The Hardik Pandya-led side registered a comfortable 7-wicket victory in the final match to claim the trophy in their maiden IPL season. Batting first, Rajasthan Royals managed to score just 130-9 from their 20 overs due to a superb bowling spell from Hardik Pandya who picked up 3 wickets for just 20 runs.
In reply, Gujarat Titans chased down the total with 11 balls to spare. Hardik Pandya also scored 34 runs with the bat while Shubman Gill and David Miller remained unbeaten on 45 and 32 runs respectively for their side. The skipper Hardik Pandya was named Player of the Final for his brilliant all-around performance.

Quinton de Kock takes 3rd place on this list due to his impressive batting performance in IPL 2022. The left-handed batsman scored 508 runs in just 15 games while playing for his new team Lucknow Super Giants. He was one of the key players in the batting lineup of Lucknow Super Giants this season. The former South African skipper registered an average of 36.29 and a strike rate of 148 plus in this tournament. The wicketkeeper batter slammed 3 half-centuries and 1 magnificent century in IPL 2022.
Quinton de Kock smashed an unbeaten knock of 140 runs at the Dr. DY Patil Stadium against Kolkata Knight Riders which is the record highest-ever individual score by a wicketkeeper-batsman in an IPL game while it was overall the 3rd biggest knock in IPL history. KL Rahul has scored 600 plus runs for the 4th time in the last 5 years. He scored back-to-back hundreds against Mumbai Indians this season and on both occasions, he scored 103 runs for his side. TOP 1 IPL Run Scorer: Jos Buttler
Jos Buttler was unstoppable in the 15th edition of IPL and he convincingly grabs the top spot on this list. The English player won the orange cap of the season due to his excellent run with the bat throughout the competition. Buttler is now at the second spot after Virat Kohli (973) on the list of most runs scored by a batsman in a single IPL edition. He slammed 4 hundred and 4 half-centuries this season and equals Virat Kohli’s record of most centuries in a single IPL edition. This was a dream season for Jos Buttler with the bat and the fans have witnessed one of the most remarkable batting performances by a player in an IPL season. He struggled in the second phase of the league stage where he managed to score just 138 runs from 7 games otherwise he was looking good to break that iconic record of 973 in a season set by Virat Kohli back in 2016.
