Here are the complete details about the Pro Kabaddi League teams’ coaches that feature in the season 11 of the PKL.

Bengal Warriors: Prashant Surve

Bengal Warriors, who were the champions of Season 7 of Pro Kabaddi League, have promoted Prashant Surve to the head coach position for the 2024 season. Surve, who has been serving as an assistant coach for the past two years, has emerged as the best candidate to take over following the departure of K Baskaran.

Bengaluru Bulls: Randhir Singh Sehrawat

Randhir Singh Sehrawat has been a part of PKL since the first season when he took over as the head coach of Bengaluru Bulls. Randhir is also the representative of the Indian Railways and won an Arjuna Award because of his services to this sport. 

Under his mentorship, the Bengaluru Bulls have won the championship in Season 6. As they prepare for the 2024 campaign, Randhir’s presence will be vital for the Bulls as they look forrward to bringing back their glory days.

Dabang Delhi: Joginder Narwal

Joginder Narwal is also a former PKL player and served as a captain for Dabang Delhi K.C. while leading them to the championship in 2018 . With a strong understanding of the team as he served as an assistant coach under Rambir Singh Khokar, Narwal will look to use this knowledge in his promotion to the head coach position.

Gujarat Giants: Ram Mehar Singh

Ram Mehar Singh is best coach in PKL coach list, who guided the Patna Pirates to three titles. Patna Pirates’ journey under Ram Mehar Singh was marked by his tactical brilliance, in depth game knowledge and a natural ability to get the best out of his players. 

In 2024, he will be coaching the Gujarat Giants and looking forward to carry previous season’s run to a title.

Haryana Steelers: Manpreet Singh

Manpreet Singh is another former raider turned coach who has made a name in PKL. He has represented the country in the Asian Games 2002, 2006 and 2007 World Cup, alongside a few more international events. He moved into coaching recently and became the head coach of Gujarat Giants in the 2017 season. His team reached the finals twice but ended up on the losing side both times. In the 2024 season, Manpreet Singh will continue as the head coach of Haryana Steelers.

Jaipur Pink Panthers: Sanjeev Baliyan

The next big name in the PKL coach list is Sanjeev Baliyan. He is the former raider and Arjuna Awardee who continues as the coach of Jaipur Pink Panthers. In his tenure, he has won titles with both Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panthers, with the latter placing second in the league stage in the previous campaign. Sanjeev played a key role for Jaipur Pink Panthers due to his ability to come up with top-class strategies.

Patna Pirates: Narender Redhu

In the 2024 season, Narender Redhu had been reappointed as the head coach of Patna Pirates. As the assistant coach of Haryana Steelers, he first entered last season with Patna Pirates. Redhu is a dynamic and young coach and has led Patna Pirates to the playoffs in the previous season.. He has been one of the most exciting coaches to watch with his mix of modern tactical methods and traditional kabaddi ways.

Puneri Paltan: BC Ramesh

BC Ramesh is one of the most well-respected and the best coach in PKL. His knowledge of kabaddi is unparalleled, and he has been a crucial part of this sport’s phenomenal success. Various teams have previously hired Ramesh, including Puneri Paltan, Bengaluru Bulls, and Bengal Warriors.

 He led all his previous teams to multiple victories and won the Arjuna Award for his outstanding contribution to Indian sports. He has won some big titles in seasons six and seven. He backed Puneri Paltan to the last in the ninth season, and the franchise also won its first championship ;ast season.

Tamil Thalaivas: Udaya Kumar and Dharmaraj Cheralathan

The Thalaivas have named Udaya Kumar as the head coach and Dharmaraj Cheralathan as the strategy coach for Tamil Thalaivas for the 2024 season. Udaya Kumar has enjoyed considerable success coaching the Indian team with multiple Asian Games gold medals. On the other hand, Dharmaraj Cheralathan who is a Chennai-based mentor, coaches the players about strength, stamina, and training.

Telugu Titans: Krishan Kumar Hooda

Krishna Kumar Hooda, the Dronacharya Awardee is one of India’s most outstanding and the best coach in PKL. Hooda has been successful in his PKL coaching stints, with his most notable achievments being helping Dabang Delhi clinch the title. After a perfect season, winning nine out of nine games and clinching the title successfully, having lost in the playoffs several times before. 

The arrival of Hooda as Titan’s coach in 2024 helps in changing the team’s fortune which they have struggled with in the last seasons. Titans new coach is known for his strategy and tactical qualities, which may bring the team out of the bottom of the table.

U Mumba: Gholamreza Mazandarani 

The second last name on the PKL coach list is Gholamreza Mazandarani, the only non-native coach, who will pull the strings for U Mumba next year. Mazandarani has the greatest international experience of all the coaches because he guided Iran to the 2018 Asian Games gold medal. 

On the downside, U Mumba, who are fresh off the playoffs, are still looking for a fortune-altering season. U Mumba looks forward to the new coach to apply his innovative strategies in the upcoming season.

UP Yoddhas: Jasveer Singh

For another season, the experienced coach, Jasveer Singh, will oversee the successful UP Yoddhas. Jasveer, who has been associated with the team for six years, has given good results. The Yoddhas fell apart last season, ending 11th instead. The team will look to improve their team under Jasveer’s leadership and are keen to take part in the race of the title from their previous performance.
