It is worth noting that Gujarat Giants were previously known as Gujarat Fortune Giants and have been playing in the Pro Kabaddi League since 2017.
Adani Wilmar Pvt. Ltd is the owner of the team, and they compete at The Arena by TransStadia in Ahmedabad.
Despite being relatively new to competition, Gurajat Giants have made impressive strides having reached finals both during their inaugural season of Pro Kabaddi League (2018) and PKL season 6 (2019).
In season 09 of the Pro Kabaddi League, Chandran Ranjit was the captain and legendary Ram Mehar Sigh was the coach of the Gujrat Giants team.

Gujrat Giants Team: Season 5
Season 5 of the PKL saw the Gujarat Giants perform remarkably well. The teams were divided into two groups based on their geographical locations, with the Giants topping Zone A and directly qualifying for the playoffs.
They managed to defeat Bengal twice to reach the finals but unfortunately lost to Patna Pirates in a disappointing final match with a margin of 38-55.
Gujrat Giants Team: Season 6
In Season 6, the Giants continued their winning streak by once again topping Zone A and making it to the playoffs, losing only three out of twenty-two group stage matches.
However, they faced a similar fate as last season as they lost in a closely contested final match against Bengaluru Bulls. Despite this setback, Parvesh Bhainswal emerged as an outstanding defender for their team.
Gujrat Giants Team: Season 7
The Giants experienced a major setback in Season 7 after two successful seasons in PKL. They failed to qualify for playoffs and finished ninth overall with just seven wins.
Gujrat Giants Team: Season 8
Season 8 saw Gujarat Giants finishing fourth in group stages and qualifying for eliminators. However, they suffered an embarrassing defeat against Bengaluru Bulls in the second eliminator round.
Gujrat Giants Team: Season 9
The Gujarat Giants underwent a major overhaul for vivo Pro Kabaddi Season 9, making significant changes to their squad including their players and coach.
Despite appearing to be a formidable side, they were unable to secure a playoff spot for much of the season and ultimately fell short. Chandran Ranjit was appointed as captain but his performance seemed to suffer due to his leadership role and an injury.
The team's renowned coach, Ram Mehar Singh, who has multiple victories in the Vivo PKL with Patna Pirates, attempted to boost the morale of the players but they failed to live up to fans' expectations by finishing in the bottom half of the points table.
Compared with their previous results in the competition, the Pro Kabaddi Season 9 was one that Gujarat Giants would prefer to forget.
Injuries and an unsettled starting seven resulted in below-par performances by their lofty standards as they finished eighth in the standings.
